The Darlaston 1874 FC community is shocked at the untimely passing away of Leon Taylor, a striker.  He was just 36 years old. He will be sadly missed. 

On Saturday 27 November 2021 I laid flowers at a memorial for him at the Paycare Ground alongside other tributes. Leon was an important member of the team.

On Friday 26 November 2021 I visited the Joseph Leckie Academy and met the new head James Ludlow. The new building looked amazing. The original funds which were allocated 2010 under the Building Schools for the Future fund was withdrawn by the incoming Coalition Government.
