Council of Europe -Address by the President of Portugal HE Antonio Seguro

As Chair of the All Party Parliament Group on Portugal I was delighted that the Session was addressed by the President of Portugal HE Mr Antonio Jose Seguro.

I was on the list to ask a question but was not called, this was my question: 

Congratulations on your election. You have a unique position , your compatriots are the President of the European Council Antonio Costa, UN Sec General Antonio Guiterres, and you have experience of digital nomads,; we need a global international response to migration; could you use your good offices with the Committee of Ministers  and your compatriots to promote a Conference of the Parties on Global migration, a new COP, on Global Migration to balance Human Rights and safe routes, with all countries working together.  

After his address I had an opportunity to meet the President.
