EFL Community Awards 2026

The English Football League’s Community Awards returned to Parliament on 15 April 2026 , celebrating the exceptional charitable work carried out across all 72 Clubs in the EFL’s three divisions. Each year, the Awards highlight the commitment shown by Clubs, players and Club charities to the communities at the heart of the game.

This ceremony recognised winners in three categories: Community Player of the Season, Community Club of the Season, and Community Project of the Season.

Divisional winners included:

  • Community Club of the Season: Blackburn Rovers (Championship), Plymouth Argyle (League One) and Bristol Rovers (League Two)
  • Community Project of the Season: Blackburn Rovers (Championship), Plymouth Argyle (League One) and Notts County (League Two)
  • Player in the Community: Will Vaulks (Oxford United), Hamish Douglas (Rotherham United) and Taylor Moore (Bristol Rovers)

Although the Saddlers did not receive an award this time round, the Club, through its Foundation, continues to serve the community, delivering projects under the headings of Sport & Participation, Health & Wellbeing, Engagement & Inclusion and Education & Enrichment. In the past 12 months they have supported residents back in to work and training through the ‘Back On Your Feet’ employment project, and they have raised over £3000 for foodbanks.

I was able to hold the Championship and League Cup trophies.
