Indicative Votes in Parliament

Below is how I voted in the indicative votes on various Brexit-related motions on Wednesday 27 March 2019:

Motion B – John Baron MP

This would mean a leaving without a deal on April 12 2019. I voted Against.

The motion was defeated by 240 votes (Ayes: 160, Noes: 400).

Motion D – Nick Boles MP

Known as Common Market 2.0. I voted For (subject to Motion M, a confirmatory referendum).

The motion was defeated by 95 votes. (Ayes: 188, Noes: 283)

Motion H – George Eustice MP

This would see the UK join the European Economic Area and the European Free Trade Association while it renegotiates the backstop. I Abstained.

The motion was defeated by the largest margin 312 votes (Ayes: 65, Noes: 377).

Motion J – Kenneth Clark MP

Customs Union with EU. I voted For (subject to Motion M, a confirmatory referendum).

The motion was defeated by the smallest margin, 8 votes. (Ayes: 264, Noes: 272)

Motion K  – Jeremy Corbyn MP

Labour’s Plan for a closer economic relationship with the EU. I voted For (subject to Motion M, a confirmatory referendum).

The motion was defeated by 70 votes. (Ayes: 237, Noes: 307).

Motion LJoanna Cherry MP

Revoking Article 50 if Parliament has neither agreed a deal or voted for no deal. I Abstained.

The motion was defeated by 184 votes (Ayes: 184, Noes: 293).

Motion MDame Margaret Beckett MP

Confirmatory public vote on any deal. I voted For.

The motion was defeated by the second smallest margin, by 27 votes. (Ayes: 268, Noes: 295)

Motion OMarcus Fysh MP

Hard Brexit. I voted Against.

The motion was defeated by the second largest margin, 283 votes (Ayes: 139, Noes: 422).
