Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (Statutory Requirement) Bill 2015-16

I am a sponsor of the Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (Statutory Requirement) Bill 2015-16 which received its First Reading on 15 July 2015.

The Bill includes provisions for PSHE to include Sex and Relationships Education (SRE) and education on ending violence against women and girls. It also provides for initial and continuing teacher education and guidance on best practice for delivering and inspecting PSHE and SRE education.

There was a vote at First Reading and the House divided 183 Ayes to 44 Noes.

Further information on the Bill is available here.
