Valerie encourages nominations for Olympic Torchbearer

Valerie is encouraging people in Walsall South to nominate someone who has made a difference to the community to be a Torchbearer during the 2012 Olympic Torch Relay.

The 70-day Relay, which starts on 18 May 2012, will see the Torch carried hundreds of miles by 8000 inspirational Torchbearers. The route will bring the Torch to within a one-hour journey for 95% of the UK population.

Valerie said: “This is a great opportunity for people in Walsall South to get involved in the 2012 Olympics. I encourage everyone to nominate an inspirational local figure to represent the community in this exciting, once-in-a-lifetime experience.”

Nominations can be made online via www.lloydstsb.com/carrytheflame from 09 June 2011 until 12 September 2011.
