“I would like to thank Mr Speaker for attending and speaking at the launch, and also for allowing the event to take place in the Speaker’s State Rooms. The event was also attended by Members of the House of Commons, a member of the Royal British Legion, French and Canadian dignitaries, children from Our Lady and St. John’s Catholic Primary School and Gunnersbury School, members of Tel Aviv University, the Competition Judging Panel. “

“The Competition will open on Monday 14 October 2013 and is open to all Primary and Secondary Schools. There are different age groups and the winner from each age group will receive a trip, with their guardian, to the Normandy landing beaches. In addition there is a second and third place prize.”
