Valerie Meets with Whizz-Kidz at Conference

Valerie met with representatives of Whizz-Kidz and their ambassador Jamie .

Whizz-Kidz is a charity which aims to ensure that every disabled child has the opportunity to enjoy their childhood. There are an estimated 70,000 disabled children and young people in the UK waiting for a wheelchair that fits them and their lives. Whizz-Kidz provides disabled children with wheelchairs and other mobility equipment needed to lead fun and active childhoods.

Whizz-Kidz also allows disabled children and young people the opportunity to meet friends at their network of local clubs, where fun as well as educational activities are organised.

Valerie said: “I enjoyed meeting Jamie at the Labour Party Conference. He told me how Whizz-Kidz is able to help him and children and young people with disabilities around the country. There are many many disabled children and young people who do not have adequate access to wheelchairs, and the work that Whizz-Kidz does is especially important in helping to address this problem.”
