On 7 February 2025 I invited Simon Foster, Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for the West Midlands and Phil Dolby, Chief Superintendent, to discuss crime in Walsall and Bloxwich. We made 2 visits to areas which have seen issues with ASB and drugs.
Many constituents have been concerned with reports of murders, violent crimes, antisocial behaviour and burglary across the constituency. The PCC visited a shop to hear from the retail worker on the threats they have to face and what is needed to protect those who work in retail. I also raised with the Chief Superintendent the reasons for an increase in Section 60 orders – stop and search.
