“It was a pleasure to visit Moorcroft Wood Primary School to meet with pupils and staff. The pupils were clearly inspired and enthusiastic about learning.”
“I toured the classrooms with the Head Teacher, Mr Nicholls. Since joining the School a year ago, Mr Nicholls has introduced a number of exciting changes, including the appointment of a Writer in Residence, the opening of a new School Library and an annual visit for the whole School to Llandudno. The School had made its annual visit to Llandudno the previous day and all the pupils were very excited to tell me about what a great time they had.”
“Mr Nicholls presented me with two books. The first, The Little Book of Woodland Wonders, was put together by pupils from Moorcroft Wood with help from the School’s Writer in Residence, Steve Smallman. The second was a collection of stories called Dragon Tales written by Year 6. Both books are very impressive.”
“Mr Nicholls and the staff at Moorcroft Wood have clearly worked very hard over the past year to make sure that pupils enjoy learning. I am sure that the School’s approach to raise the aspirations of the pupils will ensure that the pupils will go on to be successful throughout their careers.”
