I visited Palfrey Junior School and I met with Cheryl Collis, Head of School. Also there was Angela Hill and Emily Kinsey. I met with them at the start of the day to see the traffic issues occurring outside school when parents drop their children off and pick them up. There is a traffic regulation in place which prevents cars from coming down the road Dale Street, during a very restricted time in the morning. Children are encouraged to walk to school and we discussed the traffic regulations. I have written to the Council to ask about repainting the yellow lines, the possibility of a camera and to lower the signs so that drivers can see the restrictions. We also discussed the issues around the Ofsted inspections and the poor state of the building opposite. I have already reported the flytipping of a red sofa.
