The Bill returned to the House of Commons on 19 November 2025 after passing its third reading in the House of Lords on 17 November 2025.
The Bill aims to transform the cross-system response to the threats against UK border security and strengthen the operation of the border security, asylum and immigration systems.

The House of Commons met on Tuesday 18 November 2025 to debate the Bill at second reading.
This Bill amends the Northern Ireland Troubles (Legacy and Reconciliation) Act 2023 and puts in place mechanisms to address the legacy of the Troubles in Northern Ireland. The Bill, amongst other measures, reforms the structure and governance of the
Walsall Council Cabinet decided on 24 September 2025 to sell Walsall Leather Museum to Walsall College. Despite it being ‘called-in’, the Council confirmed their decision on 14 October 2025 against the wishes of constituents.
I have written to the National Trust, Historic England, and Arts Council England, urging them to intervene and save Walsall Leather Museum.
The
I met with Yvette Lawrenson Regulatory Lead at Windracers on Tuesday 18 November in Speaker’s Court to see a drone that is used in Ukraine. It is also used for Humanitarian Aid.
It was good to speak with Yvette about the deisgn, engineering and manufacture of the Drone in the UK at Southampton.
Windracers: the Low cost
The Bill passed its second reading on 16 October 2025 and came before a Committee of the Whole House for further debate and votes on 17 November 2025. The House considers the Bill in the same way as a Public Bill Committee, but does not take evidence.
The Bill will ratify the Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction
On the 13 November 2025 the Bill returned to the Commons following its Third Reading in the House of Lords on 10 November 2025.
The Bill will support the delivery of the Government’s Plan for Change milestones of building 1.5 million safe and decent homes in England and fast-tracking 150 planning decisions on major economic infrastructure
