I appeared on BBC Politics Midlands on Sunday 4 July 2021. We discussed the impact of coronavirus on schools, lifting restrictions and taser usage following the Dalian Atkinson court case sentencing.
I have written to the Secretary of State for Transport on behalf of blind and partially sighted people in my constituency regarding safety measures at Walsall Railway Station.
A second Opposition Day Debate was held on protecting Britain's steel industry. The British steel industry produces 7 million tonnes of crude steel a year, around 70% of the UK’s annual requirement. 96% of steel used in construction and infrastructure in the UK is recovered and recycled to be used again and again.
On Monday 21 June 2021, I spoke in an Opposition Day Debate on local involvement in planning decisions. During the debate, a time limit was imposed on speakers. I participated in a ‘Westminster Quiz’ organised by the Author’s Licencing and Collecting Society and won £100 worth of National Book Tokens. I have donated these tokens to Old Church Primary School, who used them to purchase new books for pupils to support change, bereavement, and well-being.
On Friday 18 June 2021 I was delighted to present this certificate to Darlaston Family Practice, who have reached the finals where they will be representing the Midlands in the category of Excellence in Primary Care in the NHS Parliamentary Awards 2020.
