On Wednesday 26 November 2014, the House of Commons Governance of the House Committee, of which Valerie is a member, heard evidence from John Borley, Director General of Facilities at the House of Commons; and Sir David Higgins, Chair of HS2 and former Chief Executive of Network Rail Infrastructure Limited and the Olympic Delivery Authority.
On Tuesday 25 November 2014, the House of Commons Governance of the House Committee, of which Valerie is a member, heard evidence from David Beamish, Clerk of the Parliaments; The Right Hon. the Lord Laming CBE DL and The Rt Hon. the Baroness Royall of Blaisdon; Rt Hon Sir Alan Duncan MP, Mr Barry Sheerman MP and Rt Hon Keith Vaz MP.
On Tuesday 25 November 2014, the Health Select Committee, of which Valerie is a member, heard evidence from David Hare, Chief Executive, NHS Partners Network, Chris Hopson, Chief Executive, Foundation Trust Network, and Professor Terence Stephenson, Chair, Academy of Medical Royal Colleges, .
On Tuesday 25 November 2014 at Health Question, Valerie raised the Cancer Drugs Fund.
On Friday 21 November Valerie voted in favour of the Second Reading of the National Health Service (Amended Duties and Powers) Bill in the House of Commons. The Bill passed its Second Reading by 241 votes 18.
