Valerie is encouraging residents in Walsall South to mark National Libraries Day on Saturday 7 February 2015 by visiting their local libraries.
On Thursday 5 February 2015, Valerie met pupils from Mayfield Preparatory School for a question and answer session organised by the Parliament Education Service at the House of Commons.
Thursday 5 February 2015 is National Voter Registration Day. Valerie is reminding residents of Walsall South to register so they can vote on Thursday 7 May 2015 when the General and Local Elections will be held.
As part of the celebrations for the 800 anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta, on Thursday 5 February 2015 Valerie viewed the four remaining copies of the 1215 Magna Carta originals in Parliament.
On Tuesday 3 February 2015, Valerie was drawn at Number 9 at Justice Questions.
