On Tuesday 20 January 2015 Valerie raised the kidnapped Nigerian Schoolgirls in Foreign and Commonwealth Questions.
On Saturday 17 January 2015, Valerie attended Delves Community Baptist Church, where she officially opened the Church's new disabled facilities.
On Friday 16 January 2015, Valerie chaired a roundtable meeting on inclusion in sport at Wolverhampton University’s Walsall Campus between the Khalsa Football Federation (KFF) and representatives of Sport England, the West Midlands County Sports Partnership, BeActive and Sporting Equals.
On Wednesday 14 January 2015 the Health Select Committee, of which Valerie is a member, heard evidence from Evidence given by Dr Clifford Mann, President, College of Emergency Medicine, and Professor Chris Ham, Chief Executive of The King’s Fund.
On Thursday 15 January 2015 a Westminster Hall Debate on national commissioning of NHS specialised services was proposed by Stephen Gilbert MP, St Austell and Newquay.
