In the first week of a new Parliament, I returned to the Despatch Box as the re-appointed Shadow Leader of the House. I raised various issues with the newly appointed Leader of the House, Andrea Leadsom MP. My speech is below:

I want to thank everyone who voted, sent messages of support, and to the incredible team of volunteers, Labour Party members, and my wonderful family for their unwavering support. I am honoured to be re-elected as your MP for Walsall South.

The General Election on 8th June 2017 is a choice about the future of our country. Vote and have your say.

I joined a constituent on Walstead Road and Delves Crescent yesterday whilst he took down an air monitoring tube. This is one of ten air monitoring tubes that have been sampling air pollution in Walsall over the last four weeks as part of a national campaign to improve our air.

I enjoyed speaking to students at Walsall College on Monday 5 June 2017 about what a Labour government will do for young people.
